Get help

  • In class: ask your instructor. Stuck for five minutes means ask; nobody is graded on getting stuck. They can reset your login, catch you up, or show any step on the big screen.
  • A step fails: every section has a 🎬 recording of the same steps. Watch it while the instructor looks at your lab. A step marked [verify] is still being proven: tell the instructor rather than improvising.
  • Your login doesn't work: your instructor can reset it. Don't keep retrying: repeated wrong tries can lock the account for a while.
  • A page is stuck after a timeout: sign in again in a private window. Nothing is lost: your VM, your data and your terminal live in the lab, not in the browser.
  • no pg_hba.conf entry … user "student-01": the database login uses an underscore, student_01, not the hyphen of your class ID. Type it again with _. It is not a network fault.
  • The OpenShift console goes dark but vCenter still opens: your computer is asking a public DNS server (such as 8.8.8.8) for the lab's names and gets a dead address. Turn off your browser's Secure DNS (DNS over HTTPS) and tell the instructor, who can point your laptop at the lab's DNS.
  • After class: the lab team, at lab@paragonmicro.com.
